Siddhi Bricks & Cement Artical

If you are near the Silyari Railway Station in the West Zone, you can probably hear us working. Our yard at No. 1782 is quite close to the tracks. We make bricks and various cement articles like those concrete rings for wells or blocks for paving. Khudmudi is where we’ve set up shop, and it’s a busy little area once the trains come through. The noise is something you just stop noticing after a few months. We have all kinds of molds lying around for different shapes. It’s not just about the standard bricks; people come to us for all sorts of odd cement pieces they need for their farms or houses. The yard gets pretty muddy when we’re washing down the concrete, so we all wear heavy rubber boots. It’s a lot of manual labor, mixing the cement by hand or with the small mixer and then tamping it down into the molds. We don’t have a fancy showroom. Everything we make is just sitting out there in the yard for anyone to see. If someone wants something, they just walk in and talk to one of us. We aren't big on sales talk; we just show them the bricks and cement work we have. It’s a simple way to run things, and it works for us. We stay busy enough just keeping up with the locals and the odd order from further out. It’s just us doing our thing day after day near the station and it's been that way for a long time now.
