Ryan Junior School

Ryan Junior School is located right in Shivanand Nagar, Khamtarai, over in Raipur. If you know this part of Chhattisgarh, you know it gets busy. Being a junior school means we have a lot of younger kids running around, so there is never really a quiet moment until after three in the afternoon. The classrooms are basic, with the usual posters on the walls and those small chairs that the kids eventually grow out of. We spend a lot of time just making sure everyone is where they should be. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to open all the windows, but we manage. The parents around here are mostly working folks from the neighborhood who drop their kids off on their way to work. We’ve got a small playground area, though it’s mostly just a patch of ground where they play tag. It’s a simple setup. We don't have any of those big fancy halls you see in the city center schools. It’s just us, the kids, and a few teachers who have been here for years. We handle the scraped knees and the lost water bottles every single day. It’s just how things go at a local primary spot. It’s a bit chaotic in the mornings with all the rickshaws out front, but we get everyone inside eventually.
