Dronacharya Public School

Rajendra Nagar is a pretty established part of Raipur. Dronacharya Public School is right there in the middle of it. I’ve lived in Chhattisgarh for a long time, and running a school in 492001 has its own set of challenges. The weather is either really hot or really rainy, which affects how we do things. Our building has been here for a while, and it shows a little bit of wear, but we keep it functional for the students. I usually start the day by checking the classrooms to make sure the fans are working properly. We have a lot of kids from around the neighborhood who walk here. The staff is mostly local people from Raipur who have been with us for years. We don’t have a lot of fancy equipment; we just use what we have to get the job done. I spend my afternoons doing paperwork or talking to parents who are worried about their kids' grades. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of listening. The school isn't trying to be a five-star hotel. It’s just a place for learning and growing up. Some of the desks are old, and the playground could use more grass, but the kids don't seem to care much. They just want to run around and be with their friends. It’s a very normal, local school life. We just take things one day at a time here in Rajendra Nagar.
