This location is near Ratan Tata and it’s basically a place where we manage the steel coming through. Even though the name on the sign is a big one, this specific spot feels more like a local yard. We deal with a lot of heavy material and the yard is usually a bit of a mess with stacks of metal and trucks moving around. It’s a dusty environment and the sun hits the metal pretty hard during the afternoon. We don't have a fancy lobby or anyone to greet you at the door. Most of the time, we’re out back checking the inventory or talking to the drivers about their routes. The work is repetitive and it’s mostly about making sure everything is where it should be. We wear heavy boots and high-visibility vests because it’s a practical necessity. There isn't much to say about the office part of it; it’s just a few desks and some old filing cabinets. We don't spend time on big meetings or making presentations. We just focus on the loads that need to go out and the ones coming in. The area around here is mostly industrial, so it isn't very pretty, but it’s where the work gets done. It’s a straightforward job and we don't try to make it seem like anything else. We’ve been here for a while and the routine is the same most days.
