Nalwa Sponge Iron Ltd. is located out in Taraimal on Ghoragoda Road. This isn't a city office with air conditioning and quiet streets; it’s an industrial site where things are actually being made. The road out here can be a bit rough depending on the weather and how many heavy trucks have been passing through. We deal with sponge iron, so the environment is dusty and can get very hot, especially during the summer months. The work is physical and involves a lot of monitoring the plant and making sure the production stays on track. It’s a long way from the main town, so we’re a bit isolated out here. We have a small office area on-site where we handle the logs and the shipping details. There isn't much around us except for other industrial plots and some open land. Most of the people working here have been around for years and know the machinery inside out. It’s not a place for suits or polished shoes. We spend the day checking gauges, talking to the operators, and making sure the trucks are loaded correctly. The noise from the plant is constant, but you stop noticing it after the first hour. It’s a tough environment, but it’s where the real production happens. We just focus on getting the iron out every single day without much fuss.
