Devendra S Patekar

I've been working here at Usha Laxmi Appartment on Tank Bund Road for quite a while now. My name is Devendra S Patekar and this is where I handle most of my daily work. The place is right across from the Virupaksha Temple, which most people around Panvel know pretty well. It’s a busy spot but we’ve gotten used to the noise over the years. We don't have a big office or anything fancy, just a simple setup where we get things done. Mostly it is just me and some help from time to time. The Millers Tank area has changed a lot since I first started out here. People come by for different reasons and we try to help out however we can without making a big fuss about it. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit much, especially during temple festivals, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We keep our doors open and just focus on the task at hand. It’s not about being the biggest business around. It's more about being steady and showing up every day to do what needs doing. I don’t really know how to write these things but I figured I should just say where we are. If you are walking down towards the temple you will probably see our sign near the apartment entrance. It is a local place, run by local people, and we like it that way.
