H J Shelke has been operating out of this spot at 102 Panvel Kandivali West for some time. We are situated quite close to Rupali Cinema, which is a landmark most people in the neighborhood use to find us. It’s not a very large space but it works for what we need to do on a daily basis. My name is on the door and I’ve lived around this area long enough to know the neighbors and how things move around here. The building is older and doesn't have those glass walls you see in the new developments. Inside it is mostly just desks and the tools we use for our work. People usually stop in because they saw the sign or someone told them where we were located. We don’t spend much time on fancy decorations or trying to look like a big corporation. It is just a straightforward place where work happens. Sometimes the street gets crowded when a movie lets out nearby, but we just keep our heads down and stay busy. It’s a quiet enough routine most days. I think being near the cinema helps people remember where to turn. We’ve been here long enough that the walls feel familiar. It is just a small local business trying to keep things simple. We aren't doing anything fancy, just showing up at 102 and doing the work that needs to be done every day until it's time to head home.
