Swami Vivekananda High School

Swami Vivekananda High School is situated in the Vivekananda Building on Talkies Road in Siddapur. It’s right there in Koppal, 584130, and most people in the neighborhood know the spot because of the old cinema hall nearby. The building itself is quite traditional, with stairs that have seen thousands of feet over the years. Inside, it’s usually a bit noisy with the sounds of teachers talking and students chatting in the hallways. We don’t have fancy air conditioning or anything like that; it’s just fans and open windows. The road outside can get a bit congested, especially in the afternoons when school lets out and everyone is trying to get home at the same time. We focus on the high school years, which are always a bit stressful for the kids because of the board exams, but we try to keep things steady. The staff here are mostly people who have lived in Siddapur for ages. They know the parents and they know which kids are likely to get into trouble. It feels more like a big family than a formal institution. There are always some repairs going on, maybe a leaky tap or a door that won't shut, but we manage to keep everything running for the sake of the students. It’s just a normal school in a busy part of town where everyone works hard to get through the academic year without much fuss.
