Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya here in Mudgal has been part of the Raichur area for a while now. We’re located out at Kannapur Hatti, which is a bit of a drive from the main town, but it’s quiet enough for the students to focus on their work without too many distractions. Most days start pretty early around here. You’ll see the staff getting things ready before the sun is even fully up over the surrounding fields. The buildings have seen a lot of students come and go over the years, and honestly, they show a bit of that age, but we keep things running. It’s a residential setup, so there is always someone around, whether it’s mealtime in the mess or just kids hanging out in the courtyards during their breaks. Living and working in a place like Raichur means dealing with the heat, especially in the summer months, but everyone just gets used to it after a while. We don’t have fancy stuff, just the basic facilities that a school needs to function properly. The local community knows us well, and many of the people working here have been around for a decade or more. It’s just a regular place where we try to get through the syllabus and make sure the kids are fed and looked after. Sometimes the plumbing acts up or we have to wait on supplies to arrive from town, but that’s just how it goes in this part of the country. We just keep moving forward one day at a time.
