City Convent School

City Convent School is tucked away in Haji Colony, right near Gandhi Chowk here in Raichur. It’s a bit of a crowded area, so there is always something going on outside our gates. We have been working out of this building for years. Most of our students live in the surrounding streets and walk to school every day. The classrooms are filled with wooden desks and blackboards. We don’t have air conditioning, so we rely on the breeze coming through the windows. It’s a noisy place, especially when the younger kids are around. We spend our mornings doing the assembly and then it's straight to the lessons. Teachers here are quite practical. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just the stuff needed for daily learning. The local community knows us well because we’ve been in 584101 for a long time. Sometimes the traffic at Gandhi Chowk makes it hard to hear, but we manage. We handle all the administration ourselves in a small room near the entrance. It’s not a polished corporate setup. It's a school run by people who live right here in the colony. We see the kids grow up from small children to teenagers. We just try to get through the syllabus and make sure everyone is behaving. It’s honest work. Nothing fancy about it. We just open the doors and do our jobs every day. It is just our regular school day here.
