Wildgrass Restaurant

We’ve been running Wildgrass Restaurant on VIP Road in Puri for a good while now. Puri is the kind of place that gets very busy during the festival seasons, and being on VIP Road means we are right in the thick of things. It’s a bit of a walk from the beach, but people find their way to us easily enough. The restaurant isn't like those big fancy chains you see in the cities. We kept it more natural and simple. We have a lot of plants around, and it feels a bit different from the dusty road outside. Most days are about managing the staff and making sure the kitchen has what it needs. We get a mix of people, some locals who live in Puri year-round and lots of tourists who come for the temple or the sea. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just open the gates, sweep the floors, and get to work. The weather here can be quite humid, so we try to keep the space open and airy. It is a family-run kind of thing, so you might see the same people every time you visit. We don't do much advertising. People usually just hear about us from someone else or walk in because they like the look of the place from the street. It’s just our daily life here, and we are quite content with how things are.
