Agarwals Pure Veg Restaurants

If you’re walking down Grand Road in Puri, you can’t miss us. We are near Marichikote Square, very close to the Jagannath Temple. This whole area is always full of people, especially during the big festivals. Our restaurant is part of the Shree Vishnu Darshan Holiday Home. It’s a very busy spot because so many pilgrims come this way. The air is often thick with humidity from the sea, and we have fans going at full speed all the time. We keep the food strictly veg because of where we are. The tables are usually full, and the sound of people talking fills the room. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, maybe just a calendar or a clock. We use metal plates and cups because they are easy to clean and they last a long time. The kitchen is always a busy place with someone always chopping vegetables or washing floors. We don't have a big corporate office; it’s just the owner and a few workers who have been here for years. We see people from all over the country every day. Some of them are tired from traveling and just want a quiet place to sit for thirty minutes. We just try to keep the place tidy and make sure there’s enough water for everyone. It’s a lot of work but we’re used to it.
