Raj Laxmi Restaurants

Raj Laxmi Restaurants is located inside the Gopinath Hotel building in Puri. Being in a place like 752001 means we see a lot of people who are here for the temple or the beach. The air always has a bit of salt in it because of the ocean nearby. Our restaurant isn't very large, but it serves its purpose. We have people coming in for breakfast before they head out for the day and then again in the evening when they are tired and hungry. The furniture is just basic stuff we've had for a long time. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. It's just us in the kitchen and a couple of people waiting on tables. We buy our vegetables from the local market every morning. Sometimes the humidity makes it hard to work, but we have fans going to keep the air moving. The floor is easy to sweep because of all the sand people bring in from outside. We don't have a fancy menu with photos or anything. It's just a simple list of what we have. Most of our customers are pilgrims or families on vacation who just want a quiet meal. We've been here long enough that the regulars know our names. It's a steady life for us. We open the shutters early and close them when the streets finally get quiet. It’s a decent place to get a meal in Puri without any fuss.
