Tirhut Jeevika Mahila Bag Producer Company Limited is based out of Muzaffarpur, right near the Sewa Sadan on NH 28. If you know the Bhagwanpur area or Mushahari, you probably know where we are. We are a group of local women who got together to make bags. It started as a small idea with a few machines and some fabric. Now, several of us come in every day to work. The office is at the DPCU building. We don’t have fancy desks or big glass walls. It’s just a practical space where we cut material and sew. People around here know us for the work we do with our hands. We deal with various types of bags that people use in their daily lives. Living in Bihar, you learn to make things work with what you have. Most of us are from the nearby villages. We walk or take a cycle to get here. It is not a big corporate setup. Sometimes the power goes out, or the weather makes it hard to get the material delivered on time, but we keep going. We just wanted a way to earn something and stay busy in our own town instead of moving away. The address is quite easy to find if you are heading towards Patna or coming into Muzaffarpur. We’ve been here for a bit now, just focusing on getting the bags finished and ready for whoever needs them. It’s a simple operation, really. We don't have a big marketing plan, just these bags and our own two hands.
