This is Rupa-Sanatan Krishak Kalyan Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited. It’s quite a long name, isn’t it? We are located at Mahendra Thakur’s house in Village Basopatti, specifically in the Westtola area of the Basopatti (West) panchayat. Mahendra is a key part of what we do here. Most of our work revolves around the agro-needs of the people living in Basopatti. It’s a local community and we all pretty much know each other. We don't have a big corporate office with air conditioning. Instead, we meet in the village, talk about the crops, and try to organize the farmers so things work out better for everyone. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of waiting for the right season. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with everyone having their own opinion, but we try to find a middle ground. We aren't flashy people. We wear our regular clothes and work on the same land as everyone else. Being a producer company sounds official, but mostly it's just neighbors trying to help neighbors. We've got files and records kept at Mahendra’s place, and that’s where the main decisions happen. It’s a bit dusty sometimes, but it’s our place. We don't need fancy language to explain what we do. We just work with the farmers here and try to keep things moving forward year after year. That’s our life in Basopatti.
