We are Pragatisheel Bio Energy Farmer Producer Limited, and you can find our main spot in Barhalganj Jhajha Shiv. We are right by the post office in Derwa. This is a rural area, and our work reflects that. We are a group of farmers who decided to look into bio-energy because it seemed like a practical way to use our resources. It’s not a big factory with smoke coming out of it. It’s more of a community effort. We gather the materials from the surrounding fields and figure out how to process them. The office is a simple room where we keep our ledgers and meet up after the day's work is done. It’s quiet out here, which helps when you have to think about the technical side of things. We don't have any experts from the city telling us what to do. We just use our own experience and talk to each other. Sometimes the equipment is temperamental, and we have to spend the whole day fixing a single valve or motor. It’s frustrating but it’s part of the life. We don't claim to be changing the world, just trying to make our little corner of it a bit more efficient. It’s a lot of sweat and patience. Most days we are just glad to get through the checklist without any major breakdowns.
