In the village of Naurangiya, things move at their own pace. That’s where we started Naurangiya Farmers Producer Companylimited. We are located in the Dardri panchayat, which is way out in the Sidhaw block of West Champaran. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here, but we like it that way. The land is what we know best. Our office is just a simple room in the village where we gather to talk about the harvest. West Champaran is a place with a lot of history, but for us, it’s just home. We are a company now, but we are still the same farmers who have been tilling this soil for years. There are plenty of challenges, like when the roads get blocked or the market prices drop, but we stick together. It’s not a polished business by any means. We have our fair share of disagreements and the paperwork is a real headache sometimes. But at the end of the day, we are all neighbors from the same Tola. We don't use any big words or complicated plans. We just look at the sky, look at the crops, and do what needs to be done. Being part of a producer company helps us feel a bit stronger when we go to sell our stuff. It’s just us, working hard in Naurangiya through every season that comes our way.
