Laukahi Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of the village of Dharhara. You can find our main operation at Upendra Safi’s place. It’s specifically in the Dharhara Tola, which is part of the Dharhara Panchayat. We are basically a group of farmers who decided to come together to form this company. It is a very local thing for us. We spend most of our time out in the fields or meeting up to discuss how to manage our collective produce. Being a producer company means we try to work together as a unit rather than just on our own. It's not always easy to coordinate everyone, but it's what we do here in the village. Dharhara is a small place where everyone knows their neighbors. Upendra Safi is where we handle all our paperwork and the occasional meetings we have. We don't have a big corporate building or anything fancy like you see in the cities. It is just a simple, practical setup. We deal with whatever crops are currently in season. Farming is hard work and doing it as a group helps a little bit with the costs and the selling side of things. We're just trying to make a living like everyone else in the Tola. If you come by the village, just ask for the farmer company or Upendra's house. We’re usually around working. It’s a basic operation but it keeps us very busy year-round. We don’t have ads. Just us working the land and trying to get things organized.
