We are Baladeb Farmers Producer Company Limited, and you can find us in Arbalia, specifically at Ward No 8. The business is registered under Shankar Kumar Das at the late Sudhir Kr Das’s place. We are a bunch of farmers from the village who decided it was better to work as a group than on our own. Arbalia is our home, and most of us have been farming these lands for as long as we can remember. It’s a quiet life for the most part, but there is always something to do. We meet up to discuss seed prices, who needs help with harvesting, and how to get our stuff to the market without losing too much money. It’s not a fancy corporate setup. We sit around on wooden chairs and talk about the weather and the soil. Sometimes the crops are great, and other times the rain doesn't come when it should. That's just part of being a farmer. We don't make big promises or use complicated language. We just want to make sure the people in our group get a fair chance. Being a producer company means we can buy things in bulk and help each other out. It feels right to work together like this. We are just local folks trying to keep the traditions going while making enough to support our families in Arbalia. It’s a lot of work, but we are used to it.
