Megha Engineering And Infrastructures Ltd. is located out in Seharabazar, in the Raina- I area of East Burdwan. It’s more of a rural setting compared to the big city offices. We spend a lot of time dealing with local infrastructure projects. The office is a simple building that serves as our home base. We have a lot of trucks and heavy machinery that we keep in the yard. In East Burdwan, the roads can get pretty muddy when it rains, so we are always cleaning the equipment. Most of the people working here are from the nearby villages. We don't have a fancy corporate culture. We just talk about the work that needs to be done over a cup of tea. It’s a lot of outdoor work, so everyone is used to the sun and the dust. Sometimes we have to travel quite a distance to reach a project site. Seharabazar is a small place, so news travels fast and everyone knows what we are working on. We don't put out advertisements or anything like that. The work we do on the local bridges and roads is enough to keep us busy. It’s honest, hard work and it can be exhausting sometimes. But we’ve been doing it this way for years and it seems to work for us. We just keep things moving as best as we can every single day.
