We've been here in Asansol for a while now, tucked away in Mohishila Colony near Jiban Krishna Das’s house. It’s a busy enough spot in the Ushagram area. Most days are pretty standard around here, just dealing with engineering projects and trying to keep things moving. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that to show off. It is just desks, old computers, and people trying to get their work done before the day ends. Sometimes the power goes out or it gets really hot in the afternoons, but that's just part of working in this part of town. We handle a lot of technical stuff here, mostly drawings and spreadsheets. It's not always exciting, but it’s what we do. Our team is local, mostly. We walk or take the bus to get in, and we usually eat lunch together at our desks. If you're looking for us, we’re easy enough to find once you get into the colony and ask around. We've got a lot of files and old blueprints lying around because there's always some project in the middle of something. It gets a bit noisy when everyone is talking at once on the phones, but we manage. We aren't trying to be some big corporate machine; we’re just the Asansol branch of Mcnally Bharat Engineering. We focus on the tasks at hand and try not to overcomplicate things. People know us around here. It's a decent place to work, even if the filing system gets a bit messy sometimes.
