Site Engineer

We are located in the village of Gonna, which is in the Dwariapur area of Burdwan district in West Bengal. It is a quiet place, mostly surrounded by fields and small houses. As a site engineer here, the work is very tied to the local land. We don't have a modern office with glass walls. Our setup is just a small room in the village where we store our maps and equipment. We mostly help out with local building projects and land leveling. The pace of life here in Gonna is slow, and we like it that way. We know almost everyone in the village, so our work comes from neighbors and friends. Sometimes we have to travel a bit further into the Burdwan district for bigger jobs, but we always come back here. The weather can be a challenge, especially during the rainy season when the ground gets soft and muddy. We just wear our boots and get on with it. We don't use a lot of complicated technology. A good level and a steady hand are usually enough for the kind of work we do. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We don't have any big goals other than finishing the job at hand correctly. There is a lot of pride in seeing a building go up exactly where we marked the ground. It’s just us doing what we know best and trying to be useful to the folks living around here.
