Bardhaman Dawat Agro Private Limited. We are located in Baharampur, over at Ear Hossen Mallik’s place. It’s a local operation. We don’t have many employees, just a few of us who have known each other forever. We work with different types of agro products. Every day is a bit different depending on what’s in season. Sometimes we are very busy with the harvest, and other times it’s a bit slower. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who stop by. Baharampur is a decent place for this kind of work, but the roads can be tough when it rains. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on people knowing who we are. We have some storage space that we try to keep organized, but it’s a constant battle. We’ve seen the market go up and down, and we just try to stay steady. It’s not a glamorous life. There is a lot of dust and heavy lifting. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the price of grain. We just do our best with what we have. Our office is simple, just a table and some chairs. We don't need much else to get the job done. We are just regular people working in the agro business here in our town and we take things one day at a time.
