Doors Valley Agro Farmers Producercompany Limited is situated in Katwa, over in the Bardhaman district. We are at Swapan Kr. Chatterjee’s place in an area known as Ghoshhatchapa Pokur. If you know Katwa, you know it is a place with a lot of history and a lot of farmers. We are right by the water, which is what 'Pokur' means. It is a simple setup where we bring together local farmers to get things done. We don't have a big office building. We just use the space we have to meet and talk about the crops and the markets. The village life is quiet but there is always work to do in the fields. We aren't polished business people in suits. We are usually in our everyday clothes, probably with some dirt on our shoes. We talk a lot about seeds, rain, and the price of fertilizer. Our goal is just to help the farmers here get a fair shake. The address in 713130 is where the meetings happen. Sometimes we sit outside if the weather is nice. It is a community thing as much as a business. We don't have a mission statement on the wall. We just know what needs to be done every day to keep the farms going. It is a slow and steady kind of life here in Bardhaman. We just try to help out where we can.
