It is usually pretty noisy here in Bibwewadi 4, but that is just how a music place should be I guess. We have been at this spot for a while now, tucked away where the students can find us easily enough. There are a few old guitars hanging on the wall and a drum kit that gets a lot of use every single day. Some of the kids who come in are really quiet at first, then they start playing and you can’t get them to stop. We do not have any fancy furniture or anything like that, just some chairs and the instruments we need to get through the lessons. The floors get a bit dusty with people coming in and out from the street, but we try to keep it decent. Sometimes the neighbors might complain about the sound when the windows are open, especially in the afternoons, but mostly everyone is used to it by now. It is just a regular place where people come to learn a few chords or how to keep a beat without making too much of a mess of it. We spend a lot of time tuning things and showing people where to put their fingers on the strings. It isn't a big corporate school, just a small academy in the neighborhood where things are a bit relaxed and everyone knows each other by name after a couple of weeks. The afternoon sun hits the front window pretty hard, so we usually keep the curtains half-drawn while we work.
