Walunj Motor Driving School

We run the driving school out of Yashwant Plaza, which is at Survey No 31/1. It’s right on NDA Road in the Shivane-Khadakwasla area of Pune. If you are coming from Deshmukwadi, it’s not hard to spot us. We spend most of our time out on the roads rather than sitting in the office. The office is just where we handle the forms and the schedules. Teaching people how to drive in Pune traffic takes a lot of patience. We have a few cars and we take turns taking students out for their lessons. NDA Road can get quite busy, especially in the mornings, so we often start the new students on the quieter side streets first. The building itself, Yashwant Plaza, has a few other shops and businesses in it. It’s a practical location for a driving school because there is a good mix of road types nearby. We see all kinds of people coming in, from teenagers to older folks who finally decided to learn. We just sit in the passenger seat and keep an eye on the pedals. It’s a lot of repeating the same instructions day after day, but that’s how people learn. We keep our cars maintained and try to keep them clean, though the dusty roads around Khadakwasla make it a constant battle. We’ve been at this for a while and we just keep going. It is a lot of driving around but it's what we do.
