You can find Venus Furnitures over at Girnar House, which is in the Adarsh Society near Market Yard Road. Being near the Market Yard means there are always trucks moving and people shouting, so it’s a very lively place to be. We are right near the Bank of Baroda, so that’s a good landmark if you’re trying to find us. We have a decent amount of space in the building, but furniture takes up a lot of room, so it always feels a bit cramped. We have all sorts of things sitting around, from cupboards to dining tables. Some of it is finished and some of it is still being worked on. We don't have those fancy sales people who follow you around the store. We just let people walk around and look at things. If they have a question, one of us will come over and chat. We’ve been here in this society for quite a while and we’ve seen the market grow and change. The dust from the road is a constant battle, so we’re always wiping things down. We don't do much in the way of promotion. Most of our work comes from people who live nearby or those who are already coming to the market for their other shopping. It’s just a regular furniture shop run by people who know the trade. We just try to keep things simple and get through the day without too much trouble.
