We’ve been here at Varun Complex on Bhandarkar Road for a good while now. Most people know us for the modular stuff. It’s a busy spot, 153-A specifically, and we spend most of our days dealing with cabinets and desks that fit into tight corners. Working with furniture that moves and shifts takes a lot of measuring. Sometimes we get it right on the first try, other times it takes a bit of adjustment. We aren't fancy folks. Instead, we just show up, look at the space you have, and try to make something that doesn't get in the way. It’s mostly about making sense of small rooms. Bhandarkar Road can be a nightmare for parking, but we managed to set up shop here anyway because it’s central. People come in looking for ways to hide their clutter. We show them the drawers and the sliding bits. This is honest work. My hands are usually dusty by noon. We don't have a big fancy showroom with mood lighting. It’s just the office and the samples. Some days are quieter than others, but there is always a drawing to finish or a piece of wood to check. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Staying busy with the local crowd is what we do. If you walk past the complex, you’ll see our sign. Nothing too loud. Just the name and the craft. It’s what we know.
