Mudra Chair & Interior

Our workshop is at 1632 Sadashiv Peth. It’s a bit tucked away behind Tilak Samarak Mandir and near Gopal Gayan Samaj, just off the main Tilak Road. Finding us can be a little tricky the first time because of the narrow lanes, but once you’re here, you’ll see we’re always busy. At Mudra Chair & Interior, we spend most of our time fixing up old seating or putting together new pieces. The shop is full of fabric scraps, foam, and wooden frames. It’s a bit of a mess, honestly, but that’s how we work best. We don't have a fancy showroom with air conditioning. It’s just us and the tools. We listen to the radio while we work to pass the time. People bring in their favorite chairs that have seen better days, and we see what we can do to make them sturdy again. We also do some interior stuff when people ask. It’s a local operation, and we don't have a big marketing budget or anything. Most of our work comes from people walking by or neighbors telling their friends about us. Sadashiv Peth is a great place to be because of all the history around us. We like being part of the community here. It’s a simple life, working with our hands and making sure the things we build actually last.
