Varad Dairy

You can find Varad Dairy over in Hingane Khurd, specifically at E 13/14. We deal with milk and curd and all that stuff every single day. The mornings are the busiest time for us. We have to be up way before the sun to receive the milk cans. It is cold in the winter and humid in the monsoon, but the cows do not wait for the weather. We pour the milk into smaller containers for the families who live around Hingane Khurd. Our shop is quite plain. There are just some refrigerators and a counter where we take the money. We do not have a big marketing plan or a brand logo that looks professional. It is just the name Varad Dairy on the door. People come here because they know the milk is fresh. We see the same kids coming in every morning with their steel cans. Sometimes we run out of stuff by ten in the morning and then we just spend the rest of the day cleaning up and getting ready for the next batch. It is a quiet life in E 13/14. We do not have many employees, just a couple of us who know the routine. We do not try to compete with the big milk companies. We just stay here in our little corner and do our job. It is enough for us and the neighbors seem happy with what we provide. It is a good way to live.
