Veg Plaza

If you head over to C-4/12 in Kumar Samruddhi, you’ll find us tucked away in Vishrantwadi. Veg Plaza has been operating out of this spot, and it’s a pretty lively area to be in. Most days start way before the sun is actually up because that’s when the produce starts arriving. There’s a lot of carrying crates and checking to see what looks good and what doesn’t. It’s not a shiny corporate office or anything like that, just a regular place where we get the work done. The floors are usually a bit wet from cleaning and there’s always someone moving something. Vishrantwadi has grown a lot, but we’ve stayed right here in this corner. You can hear the neighborhood waking up while we’re sorting through the vegetables. It gets pretty crowded in the narrow spaces when everyone is busy. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up on the desk, but we prioritize getting the food moved out. We aren't trying to be anything special, just a group of people working with what the farmers bring us. It’s a lot of back and forth with the trucks and making sure the orders are right. The Kumar Samruddhi building is easy to find once you know where to turn. We’ve got our routine down now, and it’s just about keeping the cycle going day after day without too much fuss.
