You can find us over in Shivane, Pune, with the 411023 pincode. Our little office is right there on the street where we see a lot of people passing by every day. It’s not a very fancy place, just a simple room with a desk, some chairs, and a few charts on the walls about road signs. We spend most of our time out on the roads anyway, teaching people how to handle a car for the first time. It can be a bit stressful when the traffic gets heavy, but that’s just how it is in this part of Maharashtra. We’ve seen all sorts of learners come through our doors, from nervous teenagers to older folks who finally decided to learn. The office is where we do all the license paperwork and schedule the next day’s lessons. We have a small cupboard for the files and a fan that clicks when it’s on high. Sometimes we sit outside on the plastic chairs when it’s too hot inside. We know the roads around Shivane like the back of our hands now. There is always some construction or a new shop opening up nearby, so things are always changing. We just keep the cars running and make sure the students feel comfortable behind the wheel. It’s a honest living and we like being part of the local neighborhood here in the Pune area. We stay busy.
