If you walk through the Bazar Peth in Ambegaon, you’ll find us at house number 331. This is the Lalitabai Dineshkumar Samadadiya building, right in the middle of all the market action. It’s a very local spot in Pune, and it gets quite crowded on market days when everyone from the surrounding villages comes in. We’ve been part of this street for quite some time. The shop isn't modern or full of glass and chrome; it’s got that old-fashioned feel with heavy wooden counters and metal shutters. We spend our time talking to the locals and helping them with their gold and jewellery needs. Sometimes people just stop by to say hello or ask about the prices of the day. It’s a social place as much as it is a business. We handle the repairs and the new pieces right there behind the counter. The dust from the street comes in sometimes, so we are always cleaning the glass displays. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s what we know. The monsoon season is the toughest because the lane gets muddy, but we keep the doors open anyway. We don't have a website or anything like that, just our name on the board outside. It’s just us, doing what we’ve always done in the heart of Ambegaon, making sure we stay honest with the neighbors who have known us for many years.
