Tapray Jewellers

Tapray Jewellers is right in the heart of Saraf Bazar, specifically at number 411 near Sonya Maruti Chowk in Raviwar Peth. If you know Pune, you know this is the place to be for anything related to gold and silver. The noise here is constant—hammers hitting metal, people bartering, and bikes squeezing through the narrow lanes. Our shop is part of that chaos. We have a counter that’s seen many years of use and a few chairs that aren't the most comfortable but they do the job. We spend our days tucked away inside, dealing with whatever comes through the door. It might be a family looking for wedding pieces or someone wanting to sell an old ring. The air is often thick with the smell of incense from the small shrine we keep in the corner. We start early because the market wakes up early, and we don't usually head home until the shops around us start closing their shutters. It is exhausting work, especially on the eyes, but it’s what we’ve always done. We don't have a website or fancy brochures. We just rely on being here at the same spot every day. The building is old and sometimes the pipes leak when it rains heavily, but we just put a bucket under it and keep going. It’s just how things are in Saraf Bazar.
