Ratanakar Jeweler

You can find us at Shop No 3, Survey No 15 in the Kudale Patil Estate. We are right near Pushpak Sweets, which is just off Sinhagad Road in the Manik Baug area. Ratanakar Jeweler is a small local shop that serves the people living nearby. We aren't a big name that you see on billboards or in magazines. It’s just a simple place where we do our work. The shop is small and we have just a couple of counters. We mostly do repairs and sell some basic items that people need for their daily life. I started this shop because I wanted to work for myself and stay close to home. The neighbors are nice, and we often chat with the people from the sweet shop next door while having a snack. The traffic on Sinhagad Road is always a mess, so we don't get a lot of people from far away. It’s mostly just local faces that we see every week. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just a regular fan and the door stays open to let in some air. Sometimes a stray dog will sit outside the door for a bit. We don't use any complicated computer systems; we still write down most of our sales in a big notebook. It’s a quiet and simple way to run a business, and it keeps us busy enough throughout the whole day. It's just a normal part of life for us here.
