Union Steel Industries

Union Steel Industries is out in the Hadapsar Industrial Estate. Specifically, we are at Rannapark 23/1. If you know Pune, you know Hadapsar is where all the heavy lifting happens. The whole area is full of the sounds of metal hitting metal and the smell of industrial work. Our place is no different. It’s a workshop environment more than a fancy office. We have the steel stocks and the machinery all in one general area. There’s always a bit of dust in the air and the floor is usually covered in some kind of metal shavings or oil. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear your best clothes. We spend most of our time out on the floor or at the small desk area we have for orders. Sentence lengths vary because sometimes we are too busy to talk much. The Rannapark area is quite crowded with other industries, so there is a lot of movement of trucks and laborers throughout the day. We don't have a fancy website or a big sign. Most of our neighbors know us by our work. It gets quite hot in the summer under the tin roof, but that’s just part of being in the steel business in Pune. We just keep our heads down and get the orders out as they come in. If you are looking for us, just head towards Rannapark 23/1 and listen for the sound of the machines. We are usually there from early morning until late.
