Mahalaxmi Fabricators

We are located over on Talawade-Chikhali Road in the Jyotiba Nagar area of Talawade, Pune. Mahalaxmi Fabricators is just a straightforward shop where we cut and weld metal all day. Pune has grown a lot around us, but we are still doing the same kind of work we started years ago. The shop is always a bit dark inside, lit mostly by the blue flashes of the welding torches. We do not have a big corporate structure. It is just me and a few skilled workers who know how to handle a torch and a grinder. We take on all sorts of jobs, from small gates to bigger structural pieces. The traffic on the road outside can be a nightmare during rush hour, so we usually get our deliveries in early. We do not use fancy software to design things; usually, a chalk drawing on the floor or a scrap of paper is enough to get started. It is honest work. We get dirty, we get tired, and we go home. There is not any secret to it. We just look at what needs to be made and we make it. Sometimes we have to wait for materials to arrive, which gives us a bit of a breather. We like being in Talawade because there are so many other small shops around. It feels like a community of people who actually make things with their hands. It is a tough business but it keeps us very busy every day.
