Our lab is situated at S.No.26 in the Barne Industrial Estate. We are right across from the Padamji Paper Mill, which is a good landmark if you’re trying to find us for the first time. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always a bit of dust and noise from the surrounding factories. Inside, we try to keep things as clean as possible for the work we do. It’s not a giant facility, just a few rooms with equipment and some benches. We spend our days running tests and checking samples. It can be repetitive, but it’s important work. We wear our lab coats and try to stay focused. There’s a small break area where we have our tiffin. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees; we’re just a small team of technicians. The road outside can get pretty muddy when it rains, so we usually leave our boots by the door. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet you. Usually, one of us hears the door and comes out to see who it is. We’ve been here for a good stretch of time and we know the other business owners in the estate. It’s a quiet life of science and routine. Sometimes the equipment acts up and we have to spend the whole afternoon fixing a sensor. It’s frustrating but that’s just how it goes. We don't mind the quiet nature of the work.
