Our place is tucked away in the M.I.D.C. area, specifically at W1 in the F-2 Block. If you have ever been through this industrial zone, you know it is all about big sheds and the constant sound of manufacturing. We deal with electrodevices here. It is a lot of small parts and careful assembly on the benches. The workshop isn't anything special to look at, just a solid building that keeps the rain off the equipment. We have a small team, and most of us have been working together for years. We know who takes their coffee with sugar and who doesn't. The morning starts with opening the big shutters and letting some air in. M.I.D.C. can be a bit dusty, and the roads aren't always the smoothest, but it is where the work happens. We spend most of the day hunched over components or talking about how to fix a glitch in a unit. It is quiet work for the most part, not like the heavy forging shops down the road. We have some storage space in the back for the finished goods. Lunch is usually a quick affair so we can get back to the tasks at hand. It is just a regular job in a regular part of the industrial estate. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that, just the desks and the worktables where the real stuff gets done every single day. We stay until the light starts to fade.
