The Green Villa

If you walk down Elphinstone Road in Koregaon Park, you’ll find us at 28/B. It’s a bit different from the newer buildings around here because we have some actual space and trees. The leaves fall all over the driveway, so someone is always out there with a broom trying to keep it clear. It’s a losing battle most days. The villa itself is an older structure. The doors creak sometimes when the wind blows through the park. We like it because it feels more like a home than an office or a shop. We spend a lot of time in the main room where the sun comes in through the big windows. It’s fairly quiet here compared to the main roads, but you can still hear the distant traffic. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who look after the place and handle whatever needs doing. Sometimes we sit out on the steps during our break. It’s a nice spot for that. We don’t put up a lot of signs or posters. We like the way the building looks on its own. It takes a bit of work to keep the garden from getting too wild, but we try our best. People often walk past and peek through the gate. It’s just a peaceful little corner we’ve managed to keep going in this busy part of town.
