Our office is on the first floor of Siddharth Towers on Karve Road in Kothrud. If you know Pune, you know Karve Road is always packed with people and traffic. We are in unit 116. It’s a busy building with a lot of different businesses, so there is always a lot of foot traffic in the hallways. We focus on engineering work, which means a lot of time spent staring at monitors and looking at technical designs. The office is functional but nothing too special. We have a few desks, some printers for large drawings, and a small area for tea. We spend a lot of time in meetings talking about project timelines and how to solve specific engineering hurdles. The noise from the main road is always there in the background, but we’ve grown used to it. Sometimes we go downstairs for a quick snack at one of the local stalls. It’s a lot of mental work and coordination between different people. We don't have any grand statements to make about what we do. We just take the projects we have and try to get the engineering side of things sorted out without too many errors. Kothrud is a good place to be because everything is nearby, even if the parking at Siddharth Towers can be a real struggle some days. We try to leave before the evening rush hour really peaks, but that doesn't always work out. There is always one more drawing to check or an email to send.
