Universal Engineering

Universal Engineering is situated over at Datir-patir Estate in Mohan Nagar, Chinchwad. We are in Shop No. 22 at S. No. 120/b. If you know Chinchwad, you know it is a hub for engineering and mechanical work. Our shop is just one of many, but we have our own way of doing things. It is usually quite greasy inside because of all the parts we handle. We have various tools and machines squeezed into the space. It is not a place for someone who is afraid to get their hands dirty. Most days are spent measuring things, cutting, or fixing bits of machinery. We talk to a lot of different people who come in looking for specific parts or repairs. Sometimes we have to tell them it will take a few days because we are backed up. We do not use any fancy software to track things, mostly just a notebook and memory. It works for us. The estate gets pretty crowded with trucks and tempos during the day. We have been here for a while and seen many shops come and go. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It is a bit noisy with the constant clanking of metal, but you get used to it. It is just a regular engineering shop where we try to solve problems without making a big deal about it. We finish when the work is done.
