Om Steel Furniture

It’s usually pretty loud over here at Om Steel Furniture because of all the metalwork going on. We are tucked away in Kshitij Colony No. 1, right behind Chamunda Marble. If you know the Jagtap Dairy area in Rahatani, you can find us easily enough. It’s a busy spot but we like it. Most days start early with the smell of iron and maybe some welding sparks flying. We’ve been at this for a while now, just making chairs, cupboards, and those heavy steel racks people need for their shops. The floor is usually covered in some dust and metal shavings, but that’s just how a workshop is. Sometimes the neighbors from the dairy come by for a chat while we’re working on a big order. It’s not a fancy showroom or anything like that. We have some finished pieces sitting around, and the rest is just raw materials waiting to be cut and joined. Rahatani has changed a lot, with more buildings coming up, so there is always someone looking for a sturdy cupboard that won’t break after a year. We just keep our heads down and do the work. The sun gets pretty hot in the afternoon, so we take a break then. If you come by, just look for the marble shop and walk around the back. We are usually there until late evening, finishing up whatever needs to be delivered the next day. We don't use much fancy equipment, just our hands and some old machines.
