Our academy is located right off National Highway No 8 in Vishrantwadi. Being so close to the highway means there is always a bit of a rumble from the trucks passing by. You get used to the sound after a while, and it almost blends in with the music. We have a couple of rooms where we keep the keyboards and the guitars. The entrance is a bit hard to see if you’re driving fast, so most people end up turning around. We’ve got a small sign out front that needs a new coat of paint. Inside, it’s just a basic setup with some chairs and stands. We don't have air conditioning, so we keep the windows open and let the breeze in. It gets a bit dusty because of the road, but we clean up every evening. The local kids come by after their school hours. I usually sit at the front desk, which is really just an old wooden table I found years ago. We don't have a fancy registration process. You just show up and we see what you want to learn. It’s a very practical place. We focus on the instruments and not much else. Sometimes we stay late if a student is really trying to get a song right. It’s just how things go here at our spot in Vishrantwadi. Nothing too complicated, just a place for music. The light in the hallway flickers sometimes but the practice rooms are fine.
