Our dairy is located right there in Shirur at 135/136/137. It is a busy place, especially when the sun hasn't even come up yet. That's when the first milk tankers start rolling in. We have been here for a good while now, and the routine hasn't changed much over the years. The floor is almost always wet because we are constantly washing down the equipment and the cans. It smells like fresh milk and steam all day long. We aren't a big corporate office with fancy glass walls or anything. It’s just a functional plant where we process the milk and make some dahi and paneer when the orders come in. The staff we have are mostly local people from around Shirur who know the drill. Sometimes the machinery gets a bit loud, and we have to shout to hear each other over the hum of the chillers. We don't spend money on big ads or billboards. Most of the folks around here just know us by name and stop by if they need something. The roads leading to our gates are a bit bumpy, but the trucks manage fine. We just try to get the milk out to the shops before the morning rush starts. It is a lot of hard work and staying on our feet, but it’s what we do. There isn't much time for sitting around when you're dealing with dairy.
