Silk Tree

Silk Tree is tucked away at 63/2, Shivrai Nagar, over in the Budruk area of Kondhwa. We are quite close to the Viit Hostel, so there are always students and people walking around this part of the neighborhood. The shop isn't very large but it fits everything we need. Most of the time, I’m here by myself or with a helper just sorting through things. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but people seem to find their way to us eventually. We’ve been in this building for a while now. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it’s a comfortable place to work. We spend our mornings getting things ready and the afternoons are usually for meeting people who drop by. It’s not the kind of place with a lot of bells and whistles. We just have our products and a counter. Sometimes the street gets a bit crowded with parked bikes, especially since we're near the hostel. Life here is pretty steady. We don't do much advertising; word of mouth in Shivrai Nagar is usually enough for us. It feels like a real community around here. When you step inside, it’s usually quiet unless we’re unpacking a new delivery. We just try to keep things organized and help anyone who walks through the door looking for something specific. It’s a simple setup but it works for what we do.
