Sonai General Store

Sonai General Store is situated along the New Link Road in Aundh, right near the Police Workshop. This part of Aundh has grown a lot lately, but we keep our shop pretty traditional. We sell the usual mix of groceries, snacks, and small items for the home. The New Link Road gets a lot of cars and bikes going past, so we get people stopping in while they are on their way somewhere else. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be careful about what we buy to sell. We mostly focus on the stuff that people use every day. It’s just a regular shop where we handle everything ourselves. We don't have a team of people or a big management setup. When you come in, you’re usually talking to one of us who owns the place. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we get a big delivery, and we have to move boxes around while people are trying to shop. We aren't trying to impress anyone with fancy displays. We just want to have the things people need at a fair price. It’s hard work sometimes, staying open long hours, but it’s what we do. Aundh is a nice place to be, and being near the workshop means people know exactly where to find us. Sometimes the power goes out or it gets too dusty from the road work, but we just keep going. It is just a plain store for the local folks.
