Soham Dairy

We are tucked away in Hadapsar at Sun Valley Ramdevnagar Cross Road, specifically in C-9. The day starts very early here, usually around four in the morning when the crates arrive. It is cold work handling the milk bags. We have a few big refrigerators that hum all day long. It is the loudest thing in the shop. Local families come by for their daily supply of milk, curd, and butter. We know exactly who wants what as soon as they walk in. Some people have been coming since we first opened. The cross road can get a bit chaotic with bikes and people, but our corner stays pretty steady. We keep things simple. There are no fancy displays, just the essentials people need for their kitchens. Sometimes we run out of paneer early and have to tell people to come back tomorrow. My apron is always a bit damp from the condensation. We don't do much advertising. People just know we are here in Hadapsar. It is a routine that doesn't change much. We clean the floors every few hours because of the foot traffic. By the time evening comes, the shelves are mostly empty. We close the gate, go home, and get ready to do it all again before the sun comes up. It is a quiet life centered around the morning rush and the cold milk crates.
