Siddham Dairy

Siddham Dairy is at Shop No 1 in the Amba Nagari building, which is part of the Vishrantwadi Bhendi Bazar area. The location stays quite busy because the bazar attracts a lot of people looking for their daily essentials. We open up early because that is when everyone wants their milk for morning tea. The shop is small and mostly filled with the big cooling units that hold the milk, buttermilk, and butter. Being in Vishrantwadi means we see a lot of the same neighbors every single day. We spend a lot of time just moving crates around and making sure the fridge is at the right temperature. The Bhendi Bazar area can be quite loud with all the vendors shouting, but inside the shop, it is mostly just the sound of the compressors. We have to be quick when the morning rush hits because nobody likes waiting in line when they are trying to get to work. The counter is usually a bit cluttered with change and pens for marking the milk cards. It is a simple life of handling dairy products and making sure the shop at Amba Nagari is clean at the end of every shift. We do not have any big corporate goals, just the daily task of selling milk and curd to the people who live nearby and need it for their kitchens. It is steady work that keeps us on our feet most of the time.
