You can find us at Shree Mahalaxmi Steel Industries in the Express Towers, right in the middle of Sadashiv Peth on Laxmi Road. We are up in suite 301, which is a busy area of Pune known for its shops and traditional vibe. Working with steel means we deal with a lot of heavy data and logistics, even though our office is in a commercial tower. Downstairs, Laxmi Road is always packed with people buying clothes and jewelry, so it’s a bit of a contrast to what we do up here. The office itself is quite simple. We have a few desks and a lot of samples of steel bits and catalogs lying around. It’s not the most modern office in the world, but it serves us well for meeting clients and sorting out the books. We spend a lot of time on the phone with the factories and the transport guys. Sometimes the noise from the street markets comes up to us, reminding us how central we are. We don’t have a big mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just come in, check the orders, and try to make sure the steel gets delivered to the right sites on time. It’s a straightforward business, and we like to keep it that way without adding unnecessary complications. Most of our clients have been with us for years, so we just focus on keeping that relationship steady.
